Whether it’s home repair stuff, car stuff, health stuff, whatever, it seems like there’s always something. Some crap that has to be dealt with. If it isn’t one thing, it’s another. And I’m so sick and tired of it. How do other people cope with one problem after another, ad infinitum?

Being very gentle and forgiving with yourself is a good first step. Buy yourself a treat just because you deserve it for being alive (my favorite is a thrift store treasure or Lindt Truffles).

Something that helps me, too, is to do a nice thing, however you define it. Volunteer at an animal shelter. Give the guy holding a sign at the traffic light a ten dollar bill and a bottle of water. Send your best friend flowers. Read to kids at the library. It makes me feel better to know I’m putting positive vibes out there.
